My husband and I took our 13-year-old granddaughter on a very short, one week trip to Rome for our granddaughter's spring vacation, in early April 2022, just as Covid restrictions were being lifted in Rome. It was a very special trip for us as our granddaughter had never visited Europe and we were unsure how she would react. We contacted AnnaMaria through the VRBO apartment we rented and found her to be the perfect guide for us. We had several FaceTime calls with her before arriving in Rome which were very helpful with our planning. Our granddaughter bonded with her immediately (and with her sweet little dog!) and has returned with wonderful memories of the days we spent with her. We particularly enjoyed a day trip to Ostia....we had intended to go to Pompeii for the day but it was raining quite hard and the shorter trip to Ostia was a perfect, as an alternative she recommended. AnnaMaria is extremely knowledgeable about all Italian and Roman history, and is an engaging, delightful person to travel with. Here is my secret to finding such amazing places to visit while in Italy. This woman not only finds the most interesting places to visit, but she arranges incredible experiences with amazing discounts. Using her services over the last thirty plus years, I have seen things other tours aren’t even aware of. She has provided access to tours of an olive oil factory, wineries and much much more. I cannot stress how valuable it is to have her show you sides of various countries that she knows with a level of intimacy unsurpassed by large tours for a fraction of the cost. ...Our only mistake was hiring Giovanni's friend for only ONE DAY !!!! ! We should have had her for our entire trip !!
She drove us to the Adriatic Sea for a day trip to visit the area on our request. After using several guides an tours for several sites as well as in other Cities it was most apparent that she was the best qualified guide, and driver, and most reasonably priced guide in Italy !!!
We wished we could have taken her throughout our Italy trip , but her knowledge of Rome was astonishing , as was her driving . She was amazing. Don,t hesitate to contact her you will not be disappointed !!!

I am a tour guide's ultimate nightmare. I'm handicapped, can only climb steps less than 3 inches high, and can't get into most cars.
I'm also very picky about restaurants, lodging facilities etc. and I know Italy very well.
If I were a tour guide, I would refuse to work with me.
Nonetheless, Annamaria has organized and driven me on trips through Italy many times.
I've always been amazed at her ability to find superb lodging and restaurants that meet my needs, as well as her unfailing ability to surprise me with visits to little known jewels that I had not yet seen or even heard about.
